Datalogging questions about Rigol DM3058E bench meter
« on: December 09, 2015, 11:21:20 am »
Hi,

Does anyone have experience with data logging on the Rigol DM3058E bench top meter.

I'm interested to know what you can/cant do logging to it's internal memory and min/max/avg.

1) The specs seem to say 8 - 2000ms trigger and 2000 samples per history record.  But that would mean you can only do a data logging run for 66 minutes. Which seems far to short for a lot off things. So i'm probably interpreting the specs incorrectly?
I see it can take a USB stick, so can i datalog for 1 week continuous using the USB stick for the extra storage?

2) Does anyone know if the min/max/avg is done separately to the NVmemory.  eg, if i left it running for 2 weeks would the min/max/avg reflect the entire 2 weeks or just the last 2000 samples.

Thanks

...did anyone find a solution to record more measurements to a thumbdrive?
I'm currently looking for a solution to measure voltages over 2 weeks with the 0.02s setting. Also looked for a software solution but was not able to find anything.

Thanks
