Rigol DP832 leak

Hello, I received a new unit DP832, and I detected on channel 1 and 2, a voltage 2-6mV (as this cold or 20 minutes power on) channels being off. Any Idea.

Hi,
My idea is to not worry about it. I mean, is there a specific reason 6mV (0.006V) bothers you? I guess there is since you're asking about it....

The specifications for the DP832 says +/-0.05% +20mV so even with a programmed voltage of 0V a 6mV offset is well within its specifications. I understand that you're not actually setting the voltage to 0V but turning the output "off" but since the output isn't actually disconnected (ie. with a relay for example) my guess is that turning the output "off" is pretty much the same as setting the output voltage to 0 as far as internal control goes.

Mine does the same thing. This is common with these units. There is no physical disconnect, the outputs are actively controlled even when the channels are "off". It bothers me too, but it is only a psychological concern, as in practice this should have almost no effect.

Your answers let me calmer, believed that my unit came too defective. Although I must say I did contact Batronix company who sold me the unit and its engineer told me "I have to contact Rigol Regarding esta issue, it's new to me ..." and since two days ago I hope to answer, and the only response was yours Thanks.
