We're hiring for 3 EE/Electronics positions at Kepler to help design the SDR and antenna, that we will fly on our small satellites. We're a startup right now so you should be excited to work across many projects / areas in a fast paced / intense (but fun) environment. Canadians preferred.
In particular:
1 x Board level RF or High speed digital engineer: experience in either RF or High speed digital from schematic to layout (end to end) is required. Pluses: experience in digital communications, FPGAs, RF Front ends, anything space related or anything involving unique environments or high reliability, anything radio/antenna related (hams?), consumer product experience, have something to say about EMI/EMC, know something about signal and power integrity, know something about high speed data converters, microwave components, or phase noise
1 x Antenna Engineer: experience designing antennas in HFSS or similar, really good understanding of antenna/EM basics. Pluses: microstrip/printed antennas, arrays, phased arrays / ESAs, space or harsh environments, any other aspects of radios/digital communications (e.g. modulations, SDRs, PAs LNAs, etc.), antenna testing/characterization, know what a T/R module, reflectarray, or X band is without having to look it up
1 x DSP/FPGA guy: must be really comfortable with verilog or VHDL and FPGAs in general, must have a communications or signal processing background. Pluses: You have something to say about the 2 other positions above, you know something about SDRs wrt things like carrier recovery/tracking, digital filtering, digital down/up conversion, GNU radio, modulation, coding/FEC, have a few words to say about rad tolerance/redundancy or reliability, or you just really really want to work on a satellite
