About the position
Kron Tech is seeking a motivated electronics technologist to join our team. You’ll be working with our engineering and production teams to assist with design, testing, production, and troubleshooting of high-speed video cameras. As we are a small company, this role will have broad responsibilities, which will include:
PCB-level debugging and troubleshooting
Designing, constructing and validating production test fixtures
Working with the engineering team to develop and execute hardware and software validation plans
Coordinating PCB builds and parts sourcing with production team and external PCB assembler
Designing and assembling small PCBs in conjunction with the engineering team
Customer application and technical support
RMA/Failure analysis and tracking
Assembling and testing cameras

You’ll be working on cutting-edge high-speed imaging equipment, working with the engineering team to take designs from schematic through to PCB manufacture and population. Experience in advanced hardware design, mechanical design/CAD, SoC CPUs and FPGAs
would be a huge asset. As we are a small company, this role will have broad responsibilities, which will include:
Planning and evaluating PCB layer stackups for interfaces such as DDR3, PCIe, USB3, and LVDS, up to 12.5Gbps
Assisting the hardware team with selecting CPU/FPGA pinouts for ease of routing and signal integrity
Determining PCB sizing and arrangement to fit into overall system mechanical design
Placing components for ease of layout
Routing designs while following requirements for signal integrity and length matching
Creating schematic symbols and footprints
Managing the Kron Technologies schematic and PCB libraries
