Copying schematic blocks between projects in 4.0.7
« on: January 29, 2018, 11:58:42 am »
Sometimes I re-organise whats going to end up on what board or I have some generic stuff in another project I want to simply re-use so I like to be able to copy blocks of schematic from one project to another.
Unfortunatly in KiCad I cannot find a simple way to do this, it doesnt seem to have a cross project cut-n-paste facility or am I missing something ?

Sorry if this question is already here somewhere, I searched but didn't find!

This is how I do it.
First create new sheet, enter it and go File >append schematic sheet and select sch you want to copy from. Select part of schematic you want to use rightclick and chose "save block" go back to sheet where you want to paste it and click briefcase icon i upper left.

Sorry for my bad English
