Fender 5 way switch symbol
« on: November 23, 2017, 02:09:51 pm »
Hello!

I'm looking for a Fender 5 way switch symbol. Acording to this article it’s a 2-pole 3-way switch.
http://alloutput.com/guitar/5-way-switches-explained/

Does anybody know where can I find a switch library for this one?

Thanks in advance!

Why don't you make your own?
The schematic symbol wouldn't take more than a pair of minutes.
For the footprint you NEED to now the actual switch you will use.

I built this switch according to the article. Is it correct to have pins with duplicate names?

Same name is fine, in this case they should not be the same pin number, aka the same net.So, you would have pin 1 through 8, and indicate their association by name.
Looks good to me :)
