Any hero would like to translate them? My spoken English is totally awful :(

I can use this and fix as much as I can. Then share it to the rest...

@awallin

There's a zillion of directories there. Where are the EDA videos?

Last year (FOSDEM15), the EDA videos took about a month until they were available for download. Assuming this year will be similar, we might expect the videos to surface next week or so. You should find them in "aw1121" folder ("AW1.121" was the room number of the EDA talks).

Unfortunately, i am rather afraid that audio problems will probably be very prevalent in the videos. Many of the videos i peeked into so far suffer from bad audio quality where the speaker is barely audible. Very often there is also some echo/reverb (caused by the room acoustics) which additionally hampers comprehension. And if this is not enough, the microphone setup used also is often very eager to pick up environmental noises that on the recorded track sound as loud or even louder than the speakers voice. All this gives me headache when trying to listen to a talk for more than a couple minutes. Of course, I can't tell with certainty whether the EDA videos will suffer from similar audio problems, but frankly i have not much hope.

Oh god... what was the budget for the videos? -1000$?
The quality of those videos are sometimes atrociously bad... for example this:

http://ftp.fau.de/fosdem/2016/aw1121/kicad-project-status.mp4

Slides don't work in this video, audio is full of external noises and Wayne's voice is quiet as heck.

I'm not just complaining for complainings sake, I've done a lot of live audio for seminar stuff in Assembly Computer Festival and been working with a small team where we've made real time VOD after every presentation. We've had multiple robotic cameras, proper video-mixers, professional audio gear for audio ... and none of us is a professional and the budget was quite small. And we've bene able to pull of very high quality videos from those presentations.

It's just inexcusable not to be able to get something well made in such a simple seminar type setup, it's not rocket science :/

I'm happy that I can watch them, but it's not pretty :/

Case in point from last summers event:
