What I'd like to do is when I make a custom footprint to have some text in the f.fab layer that becomes the compoent reference when it is placed in a layout. There is already by default in the footprint editor the text 'REF**' on the silkscreen layer, which is replaced by the reference in pcbnew. Basically I want the reference also on the f.fab layer as well as the silkscreen (without having to type it manually for each component)
Does anyone know how do it? if it's even possibe?
