Sn64Bi35Ag1 Solder Paste
« on: February 17, 2018, 02:24:09 pm »
Tested new solder paste today.  I did did a VERY poor job smearing the paste roughly across the pads on a proto board with more on the board than the pads.

Was using leaded chemtools before but WAS VERY unhappy with the amount of flux residue....

Tested a new paste today, Yoshida Med temp Sn64Bi35Ag1.  Have to say that I am very happy, behaves just like leaded using same reflow profile.  My new go to!

Supposed to be No Clean but given my poor application it was not perfect but still pretty good and way better than before. I think it should 'clean up' very nicely when applied with a stencil.

Cost was around US$7.50 for 100gm tube on TB

Cheers
