Experience with WLCSP and MAPBGA packages
« on: March 19, 2018, 11:23:15 pm »
Hello everyone!

I'm designing a board with NXP's K26 microcontrollers and debating between WLCSP and MAPBGA packages.  The WLCSP package is obviously preferred because of the smaller footprint but I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with either of those packages, either from a manufacturing or general use experience (issues with circuit board flexing causing loss of connection, shorts, etc).  Not entirely sure where the best place to put this would be so this seems as good a place as any other!

Here are some links for the two packages (for reference):

169 pin MAPBGA package:

Thanks!
