mid entry level reflow oven solution
« on: September 26, 2017, 04:58:48 pm »
Hi there!

I work in small company and we have production line. We already have chinese (QiHe to be exact) SMT stencil printer and SMD machine in our possesion. But our reflowing solutions are really weak. We tried old Puhui 962 and it works really awful. Also we tried to use IR heating station for reflowing, but it works bad too, it's suitable only for prototypes. And now we're looking for stable working 4 zones reflow oven solution. Of course I would like to find best quality/cost value. And of course I keep in mind that it will be chinese solution too. Please share you thoughts or maybe experience? Any help would be appreciated. And I'm sorry in advance if there was the same topic on this forum.

I have this and it gives professional results: https://www.ddmnovastar.com/reflow-ovens/low-volume/gf-c2-ht-reflow-ovens. I believe around $4K. Anything lower cost than that and you'll end up with amateur results, especially with an IR-type setup. I used it for prototype work but it would be possible to use for batches of a handful boards. For many tens of boards, you may want to choose a conveyor-type, multi-zone reflow oven.
