Non-Chinese manufacturers include pcb4u.com, 4pcb.com, apcircuits.com, basicpcb.com, bayareacircuits.com, 7pcb.com, breadboardkiller.com, eurocircuits.com, oshpark.com, pcbzone.net, pcb-pool.com, and quickturnpcb.co.kr.

You can quickly and easily do price comparisons between all these manufacturers (and the Chinese ones) by going to PCBShopper.com and entering your board's specs.

Disclosure: I run PCBShopper. I do not get any money for including companies in PCBShopper's price-comparison calculator.

Every year I get busted by the CNY shutdown and do a panicked tour of all the USA based options. Shocked at the price difference and leaves me wondering how many of them get the business.

I just placed a few orders with OSH Park for the first time and got quotes on other designs from half a dozen others. For very basic specs - OSH Park sure is cheap and has a good reputation but they cannot do all my boards. I have some designs with more challenging specs that really blow the USA prices beyond the point where they are economically viable. I can do impedance control, blind/buried vias, and other expensive processes in China and still have a board that is economically viable for our end product. Take the same design to Sunstone Circuits here in the USA and it may be >10x the cost in some cases. A $10 PCB is $100 and the quality is generally the same.

I need to plan ahead for the CNY next year.

I just did some 4 layer enig boards and was surprised to find that they were actually cheaper to do here in NZ at pcbZone than in China. Got them in 4 days too. It probably helped that I had 3 small boards and they were fine with treating them as one larger board.

Doesn't OSHPark just serve as an aggregator for Gold Phoenix in China?

Is it possible that you are mixing OSHPark with BatchPCB? Wasn't BatchPCB Sparkfun's batch PCB service using Gold Phoenix as the manufacturer?

After some Googling, it seems that when Sparkfun spun off BatchPCB, their customer base was basically redirected to OSHPark.  They don't seem to be formally affiliated with each other.  While BatchPCB used GoldPhoenix, OSHPark says they manufacture their boards domestically.

I just got my first 2 orders from Osh Park  - a 2 layer and 4 layer design.

Pretty good for sure. I really liked the regular updates over email letting me know the status. They saved me during the Chinese New Year, but I may make more regular use of them for prototypes, test PCB's, pogo fixtures, etc where I only need 2-3 boards.

Most USA domestic offerings charge a premium for ENIG and I have not found a better price for USA prototypes of 2 and 4 layer.
