Re-purposing a printed circuit board milling machine
« on: December 26, 2017, 07:24:41 pm »
I have a very nice, like-new LPKF Protomat S62 CNC printed circuit milling machine complete, and I have no use for it.

Not finding much interest for sale or trade.

Can some suggest alternate uses for it?

I'm surprised you can't sell it - especially if you're willing to ship it. For the right price, anything will sell. And while it might be galling to sell it at a low price, it's better than having it sit around, or repurposing it as something less valuable.

If it's basically a cnc machine then you could convert it to a laser cutter/etcher.  Or use it to make PCB stencils.

However, based on a few ebay ads, I'd try to sell it.

Hi, there,
I am a mechanical engineer and I work with CNC for bending machines. Basically, I work with European countries. Lately, I've been selling some machines in Africa. And some clients have written to me because it gives them strange cnc errors. I write in case someone has a little more information and can solve it without me having to go to Africa. I think it's because of some problem with the power adapter.

It's a CNC 630 Elgo for 4 axes and it's for 2.5a EU but with adaptator
