wondering if its a waste of time to try to adapt my olympus slr (4/3 not micro-4/3) to the amscope camera trinocular post?
from reading online reviews of the amscope branded slr adapter, it seems to be kind of cheap and unsatisfying.
I'd love to use the great sensor on my camera and I have spare slr bodies, but I won't waste my time if this is not a good solution.
if this is a non-starter, are there aftermarket adapters that can adapt SOME kind of digicam (not webcam, I have no interest in laggy usb webcams that are sold as microscope sensor)?
the $300 amscope purpose-built cameras also tend to get poor reviews from what I've read. my use is for hobby stuff, so I can't quite justify the cost of the microscope, again, for just the camera for it! (got a deal on a dual rail trinocular unit on amazon warehouse deals, about half price of the new one).
hoping I can find some solution that lets me use that 3rd port for display on a monitor and photos. I don't need a high frame rate as I'll be more interested in stills than motion/video.
