The Whizoo reflow controller/kit is great.

I think my next project will be building a reflow oven from the Whizoo kit.

The pen I have grips the luer lock rather well - never had a spinning problem. If you are pushing hard enough to spin the bent needle - your part has already shot across the bench  :-DD
I mean if/when the steel needle breaks loose from the plastic part of the tip. On a straight needle, you would never know, but the bent needles will spin around the wrong way.

You might think it's just a friction fit, or that there is some interlocking part of the steel that is molded into the plastic base. But it seems like they are glued in and can eventually fail after enough exposure to solvent.

Si far..... I have not had one of the bent needles slip. I don't expose them to any solvents either.

The smaller gauges, in particular, are super easy to "ruin" just by accidentally touching to something that is not sparkly clean. The part will stick and not release, or the vacuum can clog up quite easy. Alcohol gets them back to peak performance right quick. I've tried using a brush dipped in alcohol to poke a strand in there. It's much easier to just shoot alcohol out the needle with a syringe. Then pump some air through it to dry it out.
