Datron board swapping?? 4700, 4705, 4707, 4708
« on: February 07, 2018, 11:43:41 am »
The usual dilemma... an old machine with no available replacement boards.
My 4708 (AC only) has quit on me.
Will boards from the 47xx series swap with each other...

Or, do I need to use only 4708 boards to repair mine?
HELP!

Double posted!

That's, ahem, suboptimal for many reasons.

I suggest people reply to the other post.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
Glider pilot's aphorism: "there is no substitute for span". Retort: "There is a substitute: skill+imagination. But you can buy span".

As this thread has no real replies I have locked it please feel free to continue on the other one: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/datron-4708-possible-board-swapping-with-4700-4705-and-4707/

Double posting topics does tend to annoy people with good reason as it means you end up with two parallel discussions that aren't aware of each other and people get pretty frustrated when they find a parallel discussion where somebody has already suggested the same thing they have or they have missed out on valuable information that would of helped them to help you.
