High voltage divider - what company is this?
« on: September 03, 2017, 12:10:36 pm »
Hi guys,

I bought a 5000:1 high voltage divider, 1GOhm to 200kOhm. The device seems very accurate as far as I can measure. It's solidly built, fancy connectors, no expense was spared.

But I can't find the company that made it. It might be an internal use device, or a part of a device, I don't know.

Attached is a photo of the device. Any guess as to who the logo belongs to?

Thanks,

David

So, the measurement:

Input voltage: 20.00457V
Output voltage: The last digits jumped around a bit, but the voltage shown was within the range of 3.99995mV to 4.00023mV (quick measurement, measured on HP 3458A, NPLC 100, no particular consideration to thermocouple voltages etc., input impedance set to super high). Ideally, with a 5000:1 divider this would be 4.00011...mV. So a ratio error of less than 0.005%! Weird...

I would guess Measurements International but the current symbol on their latest products doesn't match.
