Usually the 3457 is not considered such a good meter. It is relatively noisy and the voltage rages are a bit unusual that there is no range with an amplifier gain of 1 and thus no range with really good long time specs. Also high impedance is only for the 3 V and 300 mV range. 30 V is already with an input impedance of 10 M.
The optional internal scanner is a nice feature, but that is about it.
A similar instrument would be the Keithley 2001, with advantages on the 2001 side.
