finding it impossible to get google to give me a "tranlate this page" I dont know why they have broken the search in google? is it ebay robot rules???

Time for my first post here. I bought this 8017 some hours ago. I always wanted to have this great Multimeter with all its additional  functions. Btw Prema still offers full service and calibration for the 8017.

Congrats to your new device. I suggest that you send it to Prema Semiconductor for service and calibration. I'm sure they will also update the firmware, so that the bugs are gone.

It's at least a Prema 5017 but with integrated 386SX CPU at 25 MHz giving additional functionality . On amplifier.cd are some pictures of the inside:

Did you receive your Prema 8017? Would be interesting to know how it currently performs. Maybe you want to try, if you get the extra digit when activating math (ax+b with a=1 and b=0):
