Signal Generator in the MHz range
« on: April 14, 2017, 11:24:14 pm »
There is a new force in the GALAXY( The is a signal Generator on ebay for 105CAD (~70US) and its rated up to 24MHz and around 14Vpp I think.

I just want this as a hobbyist. I have a home soldered kit that does up to about 8kHz wit its capacitors. I look forward to seeing what that chip can do with different timing caps.

Here's a review, I plan to get 1.

Excellent demo of this very versatile and inexpensive frequency generator @lordvader88. Perhaps in the wrong section of the Forum?

Nice job.
Ask a mod to put it in the test gear section. It will noticed there more.

I don't think the leak is fixed nor will it be fixed.  Also, I think it is a non-problem if you follow common sense procedures like first connecting the generator's signal ground to the DUT's signal ground.

I have one of these on order.  Got a tracking number.  It shipped from a US warehouse so I should have it in the few days.

Would you believe, my current RF signal generator is a vacuum tube unit.  This will be a step forward in technology.
