USB functions: virtual COM port, mass storage, debug port
4.3-inch 480x272 color LCD-TFT with capacitive touch screen
Camera connector
SAI audio codec
Audio line in and line out jack
Stereo speaker outputs
Two ST MEMS microphones
SPDIF RCA input connector
Two pushbuttons (user and reset)
128-Mbit Quad-SPI Flash memory
128-Mbit SDRAM (64 Mbits accessible)
Connector for microSD card
RF-EEPROM daughterboard connector
USB OTG HS with Micro-AB connectors
USB OTG FS with Micro-AB connectors
Ethernet connector compliant with IEEE-802.3-2002
Five power supply options:
  • ST LINK/V2-1
  • USB FS connector
  • USB HS connector
  • VIN from Arduino connector
  • External 5 V from connector
  • Power supply output for external applications: 3.3 V or 5 V
Arduino Uno V3 connectors
Comprehensive free software including a variety of examples, part of STM32Cube package
Supported by a wide choice of integrated development environments

Available from usual suspects, UK price is around 40UKP inc VAT from Farnell.

Been waiting for this for ages! Just ordered it for £33 (education pricing  :D)

But as always ST disappoints with their very low clock frequencies (216MHz vs 300MHz for Atmel's M7)  :palm:

Got it a couple of days ago..

I thought it was demosoftware loaded on the board, but I can't get it to work, only an red blinking led when I power the board through the usb connectors.
Guess I need to read a bit more..

Are you sure there's enough power to the board?
Some USB ports (or long extension leads) don't provide enough power and can cause a board to continuously reboot on power up.

And do you actually need more power? Have you exceeded those 216MHz? It's really difficult to do so and if you do, you need something way much more powerful, like Cortex-A9 or something.

Great looking board for the price  - selling like hot cakes at Farnells UK , over 30 sold  just this afternoon...

Hard to find on their site with a typical STM code search,  just use Farnells order code instead 2480961

Would love to try one but the software seems so complex, not for the faint hearted .....

I was using an batterybank, but maybe it's not giving enough.
I was thinking that they had forgotten to flash it or something (I was under the impression for the quickstart that it should have software inside already for demo)

Yes, I use it for real time control applications. I also use the RM46L852 by TI, but that one is not ideal because it has 2 CPUs lock-in-step and is kind of wasteful for my application. Wish it was 2 independent CPUs.

Ideally I want an Cortex R series with like 400 MHz and dual core (but can't find anyone selling them).
Other options are obviously analog devices DSP lines.

Haven't received mine yet. But all the previous STM discovery boards I have got had a demo pre-loaded.
Not sure why. Try connecting and flashing with the demo project?

Ah, found out, if one use the mini usb, which the jumpers are set to by default, it does not work from powebank or charger, only when connected to an computer, due to usb enumeration. But one need to solder an resistor if mini usb is needed.
But the two other micro usb connectors works fine, if you change the jumpers (JP1, page 11 in the manual)

Spansion's Traveo series have single- and dual-core Cortex-R5s, but they only go up to 200MHz.
