Arduino DCD-DC Boost Converter
« on: January 17, 2018, 11:05:55 pm »
Hello everyone, if someone is willing to help and know how, please?

How to choose a coil?
Does it depend on the PWM signal frequency?

For the test I used a coil of 30uH, Arduino PWM 62kHz and get the following results?

5V DC to 12V DC, drive 12V/21W bulb, no problem, the current is about 1.7A!

When I lower the voltage input to 3.3V then I get a current of 300mA and do not go any further.

Easier to use a dedicated boost controller chip. If you're looking for something other than a plain boost converter, there are processors like dsPIC and C2000 specifically designed for digital power applications.
Cryptocurrency has taught me to love math and at the same time be baffled by it.

Cryptocurrency lesson 0: Altcoins and Bitcoin are not the same thing.
