Arduino Mega bootloader issue
« on: December 22, 2014, 04:05:33 pm »
Hi to everyone,
I've just burnt the bootloader on my arduino mega 2560 to make it suitable to program an ATtiny85,and now that I did it I don't know how to re-burn the original arduino mega bootloader!!! I can't understand if it self-resets to the old bootloader or if I have to do it manually....please,don't tell me I need an external ICSP board to upload it...!  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Did you actually burn a new bootloader? That shouldn't be necessary for using the Mega as a programmer for ATtinys... and if you did it, you must have done it with some external programmer anyway. The Arduino IDE has a default bootloader you can use in case of need (Tools->Burn bootloader).
