Arduino trinket not entering bootloader

Hello, zerorisers here, and I cant seem to figure out how to make this arduino trinket enter bootloader. i press the reset button, red light is solid for a second or so, and turns of. no blinking red light at all. green light is on so I know its functional in that respect. I am running CentOS linux on the machine i use to program. If anybody has any insight to what is wrong please tell me.
