Atmega256RFR2 strange behavior.
« on: May 05, 2016, 10:20:58 am »
Hi Friends,

I have Atmel's zigbit explainedextention board which is having Atmega256RFR2 controller. I am programming it with JTAG ICE debugger. I wrote a simple LED blinking code using registers for it. The problem is that when i debug code it works properly. but when i select "Start without debug" the code doesn't work. All leds just glow with very low intensity and the code hangs.

Please someone tell me what could be the issue.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know what it is. But I can tell you that it is not your code so don't ever think about posting it.

:)

likely your led is blinking too fast for your eyes to see.

Thanks dannyf for instant reply.

But forget about LED blinking, if i just write a code to glow led,it works properly in debug mode but when i download code in controller it hangs n all leds glow with very low intensity. So what could be the problem that a controller works properly in debug but not in run mode. could it something about clock or bootloader?

Well, publish the code you wrote.

Glowing dimly is a sign that your LED is "blinking" real fast.
