Hmm.   There might be some disadvantages to referring to college class papers as technical references.  Especially pre-grading.  The biggest "problem" is that most students are disinclined to go back and fix up their papers/etc as they learn more...

Aside from the "I don't think I ever got the PIC32 setup working right", the most glaring problem with the material itsel was talking about the PIC32 "Core timer" without ever noticing the similar "SysTick Timer" on the SAM3X.  (on ARM chips, the Systick timer is considered part of the ARM core, rather than a vendor peripheral.)
