Bodycom - human skin used to tranfer information
« on: June 04, 2013, 12:15:37 pm »
Reading at the mouser site under the new products section I came across bodycom. Apparently it works by having a small transmitter in your pocket or hand and when you touch the receivers contact the transmitter is detected and the data is transferred. The data is not transferred if you just place the transmitter on the receiver, it has to be capacitively coupled  to the body.

I can see a lot of uses for this. Wonder if it is possible to build something where one person touching another can transfer information .
