Having blown an AVRISP2 by connecting it to pins with LED's on I'm wondering if the new atmel ICE has the same vulnerability ?

Well all available IO's had LED's with resistors and that programmer never worked again.

5V, no noise no smoke, just never worked again.

Well it's binned now and I'm using an ICE.
