  • Really fond of Sines & Silicon.
I have what seems to be a microntroller with this logo: Do you know which manufacturer it is?

For the record, it's a 16 pin SOIC with VDD on pin 14 and VSS on pin 13. The SMD markings are GV8P1213 1518 SZS25129.1

Assembly is the high level programming for an ASIC design engineer (with no VHDL/Verilog).

http://www.globevia.com/en/index.asp

...which leads to...

http://www.chipsvia.com/en/index.asp

...and...

http://www.fabthink.com/en/company.asp

...which reminds me of...

http://www.corechip-sz.com/enindex.asp (look at their product pages --- they make clones of other well-known ICs under the "Supereal" brand)

I'm not sure you could get more info from them either, but you could certainly try...

General Instrument most likely.

Before it was spun off from the corporation and became Microchip.

As a corporation GI, where I worked for 9 years, would change the corporate logo like changing underwear.

Sorry, I just read that it is a SOIC. GI never produced any SOICs.
