Does anyone know some good digital signal processing hardware books that cover dsp design from the transistor level to architectures ?

Two separate (overlapping) topics. You are really looking, I think, for one book about how VLSI and beyond is actually made from silicon, to the level of gates and various building blocks. And another about DSP, with hardware implementations.
