This sucks.  Completion speedruns take too long.

I'll wait for an any%

Yep that's pretty much me in VIM. But i eventually found an exploit by closing the SSH terminal and opening a new one to cut my speedrun time down significantly.

I just keep using Nano because i actually know how to use it.

Every time I try to use VIM:

<typetypetypetype...> "Shit, I'm not in insert mode! And now it's in some weird function that I don't know how to get out of. And I haven't saved my file..." <kills process>

Nano for the win. :)

Been using vim for 21 years now. After about 10 it becomes an extension of your body.

I don't mind VIM and I really don't understand how computer folks still avoid it like the plague - it's a rather nice little editor and the basics are not that hard to remember.

As any real programmer would, I do prefer Emacs though but I must admit that as of late I've started cheating a bit by using Visual Studio Code. It makes me feel a bit dirty, but hey, it's progress...  :D

I first started using ex and vi in 1978. So that's 40 years for me.

Try stepping up to joe.  It's simple like nano, but has some power if you look for it.
