Fortunately the workaround is simply to refresh the RAM at a higher rate. This is configurable in many higher end BIOS/EFI.
Another countermeasure is ECC RAM which can correct any single bit flip (per 64 bits), detect any two bit flip, and detect most 3+ bit flips.
