help with pocket avr programmer

I am having trouble with my pocket avr programmer I can not get Windows 7 to recognized my programmer drivers.  If anyone help me I would appreciate it very much.

We need more info. Does windows 7 even detect that you have plugged something in?

It's likely a USBasp. You need to install a driver to make it work. Under 64-bit Windows Vista and up, you also need to disable driver signature enforcement to be able to install the unsigned driver. See instructions and driver download here:

Yes window's does detect the programmer,but when I run cmd.exe it will not detect the device. In device manager it shows the programmer and I think it shows the driver ,but it does not recognize it.I have whet to the sparkfun wed site and downloaded the driver there,but again it does not work.

Where do get disable driver signature enforcement. I looked at the web site that the gentlemen suggested,but I did not find any thing like that.

Press F8 before Windows starts to boot. If you do it right, you will get a menu where you can choose that option in some form. Otherwise, look into DSEO, which lets you sign drivers for personal use.
