Have you looked at Microchips AN1157 app note?  There is also the Easy Bootloader library with examples.

Hi,

Thanks. I downloaded and tried to run  the ex_boot_uart MPLAB X project from the "ezbl" zip with the change of target device to PIC24FJ128GB206 by make use of project properities. But, I am getting error as shown in the attached. Then, I  saw a folder named "Hardware Initializers" which have .c files for specific PIC24 and dspic microcontrollers. If I change target device to one of the microcntrollers that is in the folder and compile, I am able to compile successfully.Unfortunately, Our microcontroller is not listed there. How to get rid of this problem. Please suggest.
