I have problems to drive a 2.8 TF via SPI
« on: October 17, 2015, 08:17:35 am »
I have a 2.8" TFT that I bough some years ago. Here is a photo of it. It should have a ILI9341 or similar controller (Maybe a ILI9325, it shouldn't need an A0 line). The thing is I want to drive it via SPI, according to the docu of this controller I need an Address (command/data) line... if I believe the writings on the silkscreen... then I don't need it... On the silkscreen is a "www.powermcu.com" website that at some point may have had such a display in store or so.
Any help/ideas would be appreciated !

Edit: I forgot the picture :/

all the displays I have have the A0 (or D/C : Data/Command mode) pin

a quick search gives this similar display - appears to be some working code at the bottom of the page which may help ?

Also sometimes called RS as in Register Select. Look right on the double row header...

I saw that pin on the PCB, what is a bit disturbing is the silkscreen legend... oh well, it is then as I thought. I'll try the code for both controllers and see which one works...
