Getting a friend setup with the CortexM0 from Atmel, but he's linux only. Traditionally he's used AVR DUDE for Atmegas, but AVR Dude doesn't appear to have ATSAMD21 support. Does anyone know of a linux based utility for programming the ATSAMD21 devices, specifically on the XplainedPro platform?

Thanks!

(Forum searching revealed nothing on "ATSAMD21 Linux programming," just a ton of LINUX results)

Atmel's own tool for programming their ARM micros is SAM-BA and is available for Linux.

When I found this, it reads as only taking SAM-A5, M3, M4 M7 and M9 micros, not their C/D/E/G/L/S/V series. Is this not the case?

Well I went on the ATSAMD product page and the "Tools" tab links to it, so I guess they just didn't update the description...   :-//

I think the open-source bossa package can do it too? I think Arduino folks used that.

Run windows from within linux and then go from there.

No kidding: I have seen people doing this more than once.

It is not a debugger, it is just a programmer.
