Seriously, how silly can Silicon labs go with their product naming? Is the marketing team living on mushrooms in Amsterdam?
Mighty Gecko Wireless SoCs.
EFM8 Universal Bee.
They just introduced the EFR32FG Flex Gecko MCUs

What would happen if others start naming their MCUs similarly?
PIC32MX Lodgepole chipmunk?
STM32F4 Attack Wombat?

I'd totally buy an Attack Wombat  :-DD

I can imagine it's hard to say these names in front of clients and keep a straight face, but it's certainly more refreshing than (e.g.) adding an "X" to a pile of other letters and numbers.

Eclair
Froyo
Gingerbread
Honeycomb
Ice Cream Sandwich
Jelly Bean
KitKat
Lollipop
Marshmallow

It does seem to be the new system.

Next up... ABB's EtherCAT Kitten / Lion / Jaguar Drives.
