LPC2368 dev kit specs discussion
« on: June 14, 2017, 12:45:44 am »
Someone if you reeled me into the LPC2368 mess. Now I need to cook up ha dev kit for it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Here are the specs I have thinked up:
* Arduino physical layout and pinout (so I can use the shields)
* Switch-mode voltage regulators for 3.3V and 1.8V rails. No VIN rail (since there is no DC jack)
* Two onboard microUSB connectors: one goes to the chip itself, another goes to a USB to Serial adapter which in turn goes to the programming UART of the chip.
* DC jack replaced with an Ethernet jack, backed by DP83848 PHY, which goes to the LPC2368 RMII port.
* One of the two SPI ports occupied by a 25AA02E48 EEPROM chip for storing network configurations (192 bytes available, a 48-bit MAC is pre-programmed into the chip.)
* An extension of the PCB is made to accommodate the 20-pin ARM JTAG connector.
