Measuring Inductance with Charge Time Measurement Unit (CTMU)
« on: December 08, 2011, 04:49:43 pm »
I look at Microchips "AN1375, See What You Can Do with the CTMU":
http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1824&appnote=en553967

It had a section called "Relative Inductance Measurement", so I am wondering it there is a way to measure the value of an inductor? I built an inductance meter using the comparator technique but it cannot measure proper values for inductors below 10uH and it was still flaky at higher values. Would the CTMU help me get a better readings at low values (0.1-10uH) or at higher values (10uH-10mH)?
