Been a LONG time.

I got an advanced datasheet and really liked what I saw. However... do you know if they've released their driver/software package for it? It's a lot more complex to control than their 2515 was.

You can download the demo code from:

http://www.microchip.com/DevelopmentTools/ProductDetails.aspx?PartNO=ADM00576

but I can't get it to compile at the moment.

API. That's the word I was looking for! (rough morning)

Ok, so they are handing that out just not entirely documented yet. Well, better than nothing!

Man, the pricing and specs (finally more than 3 buffers!) on this thing ... This is about to be THE can chip. I could really use a dual which is surely coming but not for some time. Also integrating a transceiver would be nice.

edit: Thanks for the heads up, just ordered two with a shield to adapt to my dev kit for this project. Say what you want about Arduino, but standardizing some devkit headers sure makes my life easier!

:scared:

Damn it. I got the PIC32MK GPE dev board less than 10 days ago. This new board would have been just as useful, if not more. besides it's 1/3 of the price

:scared:
