One thing I should leave here is that we have implemented "JumpStart API" which is an abstraction layer that is higher level than (most) OEM HAL, for example, I2C objects on top of I2C_WIRE object, but still does not prevent you from accessing the full power of the chips, for example, unlike mbed and Arduino. ALso that we are offering complementary kits to bloggers etc. please see the proper post for details.
