I've got away using BusPirate and flashrom utility. It took like 5 minutes to rewrite 8Mb flash. I've heard people using BeagleBone with flashrom as standalone programmer and it's way much faster this way.

FT232, parallel bus driven by D2XX library. Software should be pretty simple to write by yourself.
I love the smell of FR4 in the morning!

Thanks for your suggestions, actually ponyprog does not support M25P series, and flashrom utility seems to be a Linux program, do we have a windows based software? because I'm a windows guy.

And yet nobody did this apparently.

Here is 9.1...

(WTF, Google? Why are the results for flashrom.exe so utterly useless? I find it hard to believe no one has posted a newer version of those binaries elsewhere on the Internet!)

Buy a TL886 programmer, it works pretty fine with flash memories, throw in a SOIC ZIF socket and you are set to rule the world.

Thanks, amyk. I could not find any flashrom.exe newer than v0.9.6  . the v0.9.1 is useless for me.  but anyway thank you.

Any people in the forum have a version v0.9.7 or v0.9.8 please let us share it.

regards
david
