PIC18LF1220 disappearing
« on: July 17, 2014, 01:05:27 pm »
Perhaps it's just too hot in the lab and my brain has melted, but...

I can't seem to find any reference to the PIC18LF1220 on Microchip's w/s, and the datasheet on the Farnell w/s seems to be for the 18F1220.  Also, MPLAB (8.92) doesn't have it...

http://uk.farnell.com/microchip/pic18lf1220-i-so/mcu-8bit-pic18-40mhz-soic-18/dp/1439750?Ntt=18LF1220

Slightly worrying as I've just designed it into a product (it's doing a BR2032 powered RTC & anti-tamper), the main proc. is a dsPIC.

They are the same but for the working voltage range.
Same datasheet. It is in the Farnell page you linked.
See page 238.
You have to select PIC18L1220 within MPLAB.

Actually you have to select PIC18F1220.

Edit: all else seems correct. There is no need for worry, plenty of sources for the LF variant.
