PSoC Maximum Frequency
« on: November 20, 2018, 05:21:49 am »
Hi all,

I'm working on CY8C5888, and I have a few questions regarding to PSoC's maximum IO frequency.

My intended voltage is 2.5V, therefore according to DS, the maximum input freq is 33MHz, and the maximum output freq is 20MHz.

Now the two questions:

1. 33MHz is 66M transitions per sec, can I clock in a data at 49.152Mbps (no more than 49.152M trans/s) with a 24.576MHz clock with soft core DDR?
2. The output Tr/Tf is 6ns max. Can I output short pulses down to 10ns with no more than 6.144Mbps/12.288M tran/s (tested with scope, works, but only at room temp)?

I know I'm pushing the boundaries, but I want to know if it is possible -- it does not violate datasheet timing, but it is vague on frequency limits.

Thanks.
