Segger Embedded Studio
« on: November 11, 2018, 05:45:16 am »
Hi,
I just have downloaded it, it simply works and it has lots of stuff for free (embos, emIP,emwin,etc...),before you want to make any commercial product, what are your experiences with it? should I stick to keil and let it go, or does it worth the try? cause I see segger has the support for RISC-V parts too, so they might have a better future ^-^

Deja vu https://www.eevblog.com/forum/microcontrollers/segger-embedded-studio/

It's not free for commercial use, if you want to use embOs etc it's €9980 per user. The trend is for manufacturers to bundle a license-free IDE with their chip support, so Segger seem to be bucking the trend.

I've used CrossWorks for years and just finished switching to Embedded Studio. I think it is a well done product.
