STM32 XP USB Driver
« on: May 01, 2016, 03:26:22 am »
Does anyone have another source for STSW-LINK009 as ST's website is broken.
https://my2.st.com/content/my_st_com/en/products/embedded-software/development-tool-software/stsw-link009.html# It will give the accept terms etc.. accept, goes back to the upper download software button, then goes to its frontpage. Annoying. |O I was hoping to get going with the F7 discovery, but no driver. Thanks. Even v1.00 is accepted.

Voltage does not flow, nor does voltage go.

It usually works if you don't log in, from a slightly different link:

Try:

1) Log out from st.com
2) Go to: http://www2.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/development-tool-software/stsw-link009.html#
3) Click "Get Software"
4) Accept license
5) When you get the "Request Software", do not log in.  Enter your name & email address.
6) Wait for email and click on email link, download should work

Convolution mass confusion :scared: too many ways to do a simple thing when it comes to marketing and the "Sales Reps" desperately trying to get a lead on a big sale.
To a hobbyist... :-DD
I finally got it thanks to you, but the STLink VCP (virtual com port) will not start with a yellow ! next to it. I have changed the COM port# but to no avail.
Any ideas would be welcome. XP SP2.

Because ST outsourced its website to NXP I think, :)

All signs, from their libraries to their websites, point to a software workforce that is exceedingly challenged at ST.

BTW, just download the ST-Link utility and it contains the VCP and will install it for you without your asking it too.
