STM8S003F3 - TIM2_CH1 AFR question
« on: February 16, 2015, 04:31:02 am »
I am working on a project that will use an STM8Sx03F3, but just noticed there is no AFR to change pin PD4, which has TIM2_CH1. AFR0 enables TIM2_CH1 on PC5.

Question:
Does enabling AFR0 disable TIM2_CH1 on PD4, allowing for other functions or GPIO, or is TIM2_CH1 used on both pins PD4 and PC5 at the same time? I have checked the datasheet and the reference manual, searched around, and I can't find anything about this anywhere.

Does anyone know? Or can someone with an STM8 setup test this?

EDIT: Datasheet says "3. [] alternate function remapping option (If the same alternate function is shown twice, it indicates an exclusive choice not a duplication of the function)" - but it is referring to alternate functions enclosed in brackets. TIM2_CH1 on PD4 is not in brackets. Still, I would assume enabling this on PC5 would disable it on PD4.
