What sort of surges?  From what?  On the power rail, or on IO pins?  If on IO pins, what sort of signals need to pass?  How many lines?

Good morning, right now I am powering up the teensy along with 3500 Leds on the two power supplies. So that is the main power rail. In order to protect the teensy from the start up or any surges it might be worth while to isolate it from the main lead.
