Two LED blinkers
« on: May 05, 2015, 05:22:31 pm »
Finally I got that CPLD and the PIC blinking LEDs stably.

PIC blinker is just a traditional LED blinking code, equivalent of Arduino's example.

CPLD blinker is binary dividing the CPLD eval kit's 50MHz oscillator down to a visible frequency.

Nice blinking / learning project.

But seriously, I looked at your 'swag box' video, and having made many of the the same mistakes 40 years ago, you need to get out more and find a meaningful girlfriend/boyfriend/pet relationship before it's too late.

You have a few $$ in cardboard boxes that will be worth 20% of their value in two years.
Those same $$ used in socializing & networking will be worth 10x more n your life in another two years.

I'm not being trying to be mean, you seem like a nice guy, but I can speak from experience.

Sorry but I am kind of an introvert and I'd rather spend time & money on projects than be rejected my girls and have my mood worn down.

I empathise completely, (I was there!) and it worked for about 15 years, and led to a strong, satisfying career - but around 40+ what I should have made more effort at started to make sense - and was water under the bridge.

Just sayin'   I wish I'd balanced a lot more.    :-\

Having been cheated on pretty early on by two girls in a row without ever really have a girlfriend will be a scarring experience. This thread is running off topic.

Who's running it off topic?
I didn't take it apart.
I turned it on.

The only stupid question is, well, most of them...

Save a fuse...Blow an electrician.

The blink-led program is the "Hello World" of the embedded software.

It is good to be at that stage, then you know that at least the basics are working.

Good luck with (the rest of) your project.

This at least give me some confidence that mt circuit building is correct, and I did in fact got a program in there up and running. I am still new to CPLD and PIC, for now my MCU of choice is still AVR and ARM, but this means more options are open to me now.
