Export Dimension SVG for case design
« on: March 12, 2015, 01:15:52 am »
I'm trying to figure out a way to import dimension and layout data from a KiCad PCB into 123D design. Kicad will export to SVG which 123D can import but the units are all wrong. It seems that Kicad makes the values in the SVG mils, which 123D design interprets as mm... so a 21.5mm board side becomes 8.4 meters :( Is there any way to specify how it formats the SVG, or maybe other tools that could convert from a gerber file such that all the SVG units are mm? For whatever stupid reason, 123D only handles mm.
